Session 2: Exploration of marine biomass

The general focus of this session is sustainable use of marine biomass and its importance for the bioeconomy. Natural resources, including rest material, can be used in new and improved food, feed, bio-based products, ingredients for use in research or in health products.

The session will focus on the exploitation of marine biomass from the fishing industry, but also utilizing biomass harvested at lower trophic levels.

The session will also give insights to the future possibilities for economic growth.
